Goal

The goal of ARF student internship program is to supplement ARF’s mission of furthering the professional growth of those engaged in fashion & technology and related professions.

 

Purpose

The purpose of the ARF student internship program is to provide students with an opportunity to gain workplace skills and learn more about the fashion and technology. This is also an opportunity for ARF to contribute to the local community by reaching out to future fashion and technology professionals.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Intern

  • Performs duties as assigned by the Intern Supervisor.

  • Responsible for providing the Intern Supervisor with the appropriate paperwork for school credit if needed.

  • At the end of the internship, complete the Student Internship Evaluation Form.

Internship Requirements

Students must meet the following requirements:

Status-Student must be currently attending college (second year or above) or a recent

graduate (within 6 months). All majors are eligible.

Length-Internship shall be a minimum of one quarter. Maximum length is one year.

Hours-Hours will be agreed upon between the intern and the Intern Supervisor.

Compensation-Non-paid.

Reports To-The Intern Supervisor. Contact the Internship Coordinator if the Intern Supervisor is

not available.

Required Meetings

  • Attend Orientation.

  • Attend a minimum of one Board Meeting.

  • Attend a minimum of one Networking Night.

  • Attend meetings as requested by the Intern Supervisor.

Duties

  • Perform all duties as assigned by the Intern Supervisor.

  • If performing the internship for school credit, the intern will be responsible for providing and submitting the required forms to the Intern Supervisor for completion.
